Color change
Photochromic ink is an invisible ink that changes its colour when exposed to light. It reacts to sunlight, very strong artificial light and UV light. This change is reversible from invisible to colour and back to invisible after a short time of not being exposed to light. Photochromic inks allow the concealing of information that will become visible under exposure to light. It can be used as a detection ink in order to control the authenticity of a document.
